A lot of discussion has been held on customer service at Joann's Crafts & Fabrics. Last weekend I was at our local Joann's. It was the July 4th weekend and Joann's would give 20% off the total if you showed appropriate military ID (either retired or active or dependent). The young lady who waited on me gave me 20% off on one item and not the total. So I waited for the manager to get free (it was a busy day) and she took one look at my receipt and said that no the discount had not been applied. She quietly asked another clerk to show the young lady how to do the discount and the she re-rang my items. It was a savings of over $10. The manager was very nice to the young clerk and to me. It was worth it to have the items re-rung. Thanks Bev.

A manager who knows how to handle people. What a treasure.

I didn't know about the discount. While having fabric cut, the employee mentioned the discount. I did not have my id on me showing prior service, but they honored it anyway!!!

I would let the main office know how well she handled the problem......
The way the stores are anymore, they need more like her...
So glad it all worked out for you.....

You have a good manager at your JoAnn's. The manager at the one near me likes to accuse you of not telling the truth about the amount of money you give the clerk who couldn't make correct change even though it was on the machine. I buy VERY little there any more.

You're lucky to have such a good manager. The manager at our nearby Joann's...not so good.

You are lucky to have good manager. They need more of them. Instead of the ones that think they are losing money.

I want to say thanks for your military service first and foremost. I am very happy to see a special manager taking out on such a busy day to get you what you deserved and patiently and quietly explaining to young clerk how to do it right. Thanks for sharing - it us hope that their are people who really do care about customers and their employees. This store benefits from such a valued employee. I suggest that you contact JoAnns and let them know of your positive treatments and if you remember the managers name be sure to metnion it so her greaqt efforts do not go unnoticed.

Thanks so much for sharing
