Judy, I really don't know just where I found that picture and I'm hoping it is not copywrited! I'm just using it as an avatar. If I can find it again I could give you the link so you could make a copy of it. I'll let you know if I find it again.

Kathie, I doubt it has anything to do with your thread. Those old 66's were very dependable machines. My 66 will sew with anything. I bet whatever it is, it is something simple. Can you bring it with you to Girl's Night Out (just the Lotus - not cabinet) and let me play with it?

OK, I found this much out. He says it does not say singer on the machine but that he's heard they were made by singer. But I guess I've learned from here that there were other companies that made knock offs??? Are they as equally as good or no?

Better than using masking tape! The previous owner of my Necchi did that and I can't get it off. I have tried everything suggested here plus a few other things. I just may have to live with it!
Sorry this was a reply to HisPatchwork.. I'll learn this stuff someday!

I seen one of these in a thrift store a couple of weeks ago.
The one I seen was the same size as the 99K. Looked identical to it but said Spartan on it. Really a nice machine.

Wow! That is a beauty! I have one just like it with a Singer H-15 in it. The cabinet is in great shape but have to do a clean up on the machine. I plan on doing it when it warms up as it's too cold to work in the basement.

Oh yeah I would say so. The cabinet looks great and so does the machine and Spartans are suppose to be awesome.
