So I'm, what, the third one to pick up a 66 Red Eye today? :)

Factoring in gas money, I'm not sure what kind of deal I got, but it was a fun road trip. Seller said she found it in the house they just bought, so no history on her. I've already performed her motorectomy. Some crazing and some rust here and there, I think she's going to clean up well. She does have the back clamping setup, but it looks like I might have a side clamp bar I can salvage off another machine so I can use the attachments I already have. SN G784285; Oct. 5, 1910; 30,000 allotted to Elizabeth, NJ. So, here she is, dirt and all:

Can't take credit for that one as I saw it here. :) It certainly gets the point across.

[a long time, but have a long way to go yet.

It IS my new hobby. I do, at least, have most parts organized so I can find them when I need them.

Haahahaaa! OMG! How big is that basement?! I'm a diligent worker, maybe it could be done in less time. :)
With Charlee helping and others maybe we could be finished within a week!

Charlee you are hilarious. But I'm up for a vacation on the east coast once it cools down alittle. I'll help!

Found out that the treadle VS DD picked up for me last week is a Lakeshore, made in Chicago. Anyone know anything about the brand?

Just found a website that is great for vintage machines. The photo gallery is great. All kinds of machines from around the world. Also has a lot of photos of the different vibrating shuttles. Enjoy

Yes, we had a great cruise. Thank you Monica!

We had a very sad home coming, though. We lost Tarzan the Man, my 3.5 pound black Chihuahua. Our house sitter did not realize he was not drinking. He died of severe dehydration.

The 99K came in a blond cabinet and is missing the bobbin cover plate, so will need to find one of those. Got it for $25, will pick it up later this week. DD picked up some kind of treadle for me at a yard sale Friday, so right now that is a pig in the poke, the price on that was $30. She said that it had a lot decals and was made in Chicago.
Congratulations Lee on your new 99K. You do realize that the 99 and 66 are interchangeable as far as the bobbins, slide plate, etc.?
