Hi Everyone, I was finally able to pick up this Singer 15. It was born in 1950 and it has a potted motor-- I have one from 1905 and the motor is bolted behind the pillar not high up like the potted motor. I thought they would be the same. Did they still use the potted motor in 1950? I had to disconnect the cord to take it out of the cabinet. I noticed the finish where the stitch regulater is the same as the machine. I don't think there is a separate cover piece. This came in a cabinet.. Queen Anne legs. Lots of scratches so I'm going to sand it down and then paint it. Anne

craftybear, there's a FW in our newspaper today for $300 firm. I wonder how long it'll be there. I'm not sure FW fever has hit here.
It's almost warm enough so I can start opening up the house to clean machines. I think the Necchi will be first. The firm foot control on my 301 is hurting my leg, so I'm anxious to see if the knee control is easier for me. Then Miss Sophia can be my piecing machine and save AnnieRose for FMQ. The Necchi has to be pre 1950, but she doesn't look it at all. I'm using the Elna to make an apron. She is still the queen - just a lousy quilter.
Your excess water has come north. We've had storm after storm with hail several times in the last 24 hours with another day and half coming.

I'm so glad you put the tutorial for the shuttle bobbin on. I was having the same problem and putting the bobbin case back in I used it about 4 months ago and couldn't get it back in, Im going to go back and give it another try. Thank you. :)
