FYI, There are 2 "Flower all Around" pdf's...one is for the flower hexie just as it is and there is a version 2 which is the triangle which becomes the 16" block....Just thought you would like to know...
The Hexie printout seems to be much larger than what it is supposed to be...When you say 2 1/2" hexie how is it supposed to be measured??? point to point or from the flat sides? All these years I never paid attention to that...
QNS, How do you get to the Michele Foster site? I'm always trying to look for different blocks....

I don't agree with Jane being similar to Sylvia or FWS. I made about 90 Jane blocks and they're quite different from everything I did. Yes, some are similar but most aren't.
With the software you can print in any size you want. The finished Jane size is 4.5".

Aiming for accuracy quilt-along fun. Michele Foster's latest one. Or the main place for her site is http://quiltingonthesquare.com is the compass squares. She is on face book and has a blog.

QE--good news...if you go to the blue DJ quilt link again, you can click on each block and see a close up. I just noticed you could do that.
Here is another blue one: http://les3a.no-ip.com/spindletops/ (same thing you can click on the blocks)
This is where I am finding these quilts: http://www.janiac.com/
I am willing to make the 1st QOTS block next week...to "test" it. I need to see if I like the fabrics I have once they are cut up/sewn together.

There are different 'projects' listed on the disk...circle of friends caught my eye...and every house should have a dj...a house side with a dj block on the front of the house. That peaked my interest as well...everyone choose a block and it goes on my pc house block...what do you think?
Yes the official size is a finished four inches, but with EQ7 you can make 'selected' blocks and print them out as any size, even a 12 or 18 inch block.
I hope, Honchey, you got my email. http://quiltinggallery.com/learning-...y-quilt-along/ For the overall template of all the blocks and patterns free for block one, two, and three. She posts every Thursday. Michele is an amazing person who answers her email...with over 500 people involved wonder how many emails she receives in a day??? Missouri Star Quilts is listed as one of the recognized outlets of fabric for the blocks. Me, I am using my stash.

I am happy to go along with whatever is decided, DD might join us for DJ as she has already started it, she was also going to join us if we did the Compass Blocks, I gave her my folder with all the patterns already printed out. I would just really like this group to continue, we may have others join us and that's ok but this merry little group has certainly bonded over the past few years.
After the carpets dried I spent a few hours tidying up my sewing room, so now I am ready to finish some projects and maybe start a few new ones

Honchey ... Hexie measurements are taken for the flat side. However, many get confused too, so I double check when a size is mentioned. For the QOTS blocks 14"x16", it doesn't apply, as the measurement they give is the finished block, with the wing triangles added to give the finished rectangle.
QNSue ... Michelle Foster is not QOTS. MF is the Aim for Accuracy quilt that GGal is doing. Also, that the original DJs finish at 4-1/2".
CarrieM ... thanks for the tip and extra links. Am starting to bookmark DJ stuff and will add those, for when I hae more time to look at them "seriously". Great that you can "test" the pattern for us!
OKSGlad ... yes! *shock*!!! I totally understand as I know there were so many other great things to see and do!!!!
MiraB ... I'm like you ... I love our cozy little family and do not want to part!!
