Yes it was a steal, it had $70 on it and she said everything is half off okay even better.

But for what it's worth....
Thanks for the tip. I would have not even thought about the table having a serial number. Don't know if DH knew about one or not have to ask.

Really nice machine did the cabinet come with it? You got a great deal. DH and I are going to an estate auction this weekend hope we can come away with a deal like that.

alissa, great buy. I do not have FW fever, but when I see a good looking black 301, I want it. My tan one sews very well, but the black is so pretty.

What got me was that it was a reproduction, not an original, and that was the asking price. Not worth it for my money; however, they'll probably sell it to someone who only hears FW!

Agreed--nice cabinet. Might need a new cord; might need nothing. But it and find out--you won't lose anything.

I know there are more out there. For about $10 each, I was able to invest in a SERVICE manual for each of my good machines. Some of the older machines have so much info you only need an operators manual so give your manual a good look see.
