Here is the label I have been embroidering, they take a little more than an hour to stitch out and have over 18,000 stitches. I have made 4 in the past 2 days and more to make this week. I use whatever background fabric I have on hand.

Patches of Bluewater is the club I belong to and myself and another member do the labels for all the quilts we make and donate. I have probably made more than 60 since we started donating quilts.

CarrieM ... I guess I got it backwards about the September retreat! HOpe the kids did well again at archery.

DublB ... Have a great trip!

MiraB ... great quilt label and what a nice touch to the quilts that your group does. Are your Snuggle Quilts part of the group donations? Or something you do separately? I'm thinking separate! How sweltering hot is it in your part of Australia? I've been hearing about how horrible it's been for some!

My dear friends, my DS called at about 12.15 am, things didn't went well. We rushed to the hospital, the babies are born but they're so tiny. The little deceased boy, his name is Julian, was born at 1.32 am, Bram, his brother was born at 2.42 am and his sister, Lisa was born at about3.15 am. Lisa was born with caeserean. My DDIL was losing quite an amount of blood and Lisa wasn't doing well so my DDIL was rushed to the OR. We said our goodbyes to Julian, he's a real oh so tiny baby. And now we have to wait and hope Bram and Lisa will pull through. We didn't see Lisa yet as they were still working on her when we left. We were there when Bram was born (Linda's mom and I) and we were allowed to see him for a very short time while the doctors were working on him.
When Bram was born my DDIL said to my DS: here's your birthday present! My DS is having his 27th birthday today.

I'm sorry, it's Isa instead of Lisa. I was up all night and can't think clear.

Oh Anael I have just read your post to my DH and he had tears in his eyes, so do I. All we can do now is pray that God has a plan for these precious babies. You are in my thoughts dear friend.

Carrie thank you for your kind words.

QuiltE these labels go on the quilts that are made by my club members, me included, then there are the ones I make for my personal donations to the Hospital. When I stitch out my lables will show you, they are not exciting, similar wording with a butterfly

Oh Anael, my heart goes out to you and your DS and DDIL! My prayers are for you all and those tiny little babies. I hope your DDIL is okay too. I hope you are able to sleep, as you need your strength for your family.

QuiltE it gets humid here in the tropics, this is what the weather was like today, we had about 2 inches of rain in an hour.

I was standing on my front verandah looking down to the road, so you can see how high up our house is.

Anael, hugs are coming your way in your time of need. High tea is in the virtual RV where we can all give you a hug and have a moment of silent prayer for the little ones and your DS and DIL.

Mirabelle, wish we had a day of your rain here....its so dry we are not planning a garden this year. Happy you are high and dry in your home.

Love the quilt labels, looks like another reason to have a machine that does that.

Have a good day today, its gone tomorrow...yesterday is history,..

My thoughts and prayers are coming your way, Anael, and especially for your DDIL and those wee babes. While early, they have come as a nice gift to your DS for his birthday! Now, for stability for all, and the babies to grow.

We've shared so much in our virtual RV ... tears, laughter and so much more about our lives that I hope it is a comfort to you Anael to know that I am virtually with you during this difficult time with many {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for you.

Love Baby Isa's name .... my Grandmother was Isa, short for Isadore.

MiraB ... I'm warm already!! While I HATE humidity, I think I could endure it today .... -7C with a feels like of -17C!!

I can't thank you enough for your prayers, hugs and comfort during these trial times. I love you all!

Did I tell you Bram is 1.1 lbs and Isa 1.6 lbs. I hope to visit Bram, Isa and my DDIL tomorrow.

    Tiny indeed!
Get some rest today and enjoy your visits tomorrow .... and birthday celebration for your DS too.

I'm hoping and praying for another miracle like my friend received with a little girl the same size ... she's now almost two years old, cute as can be, and talk about an active little one!!!

Anael ... I had left my card to send today, knowing they would not be printed til tomorrow. I just checked out the site, and am now wondering if the fill in the blank part for what section of the hospital she is in, might have changed, and that I should address it to a different area?

I am so behind on your chitchat ladies--but I did catch Anael's baby news. Congratulations Oma. Peace to the little Julian and prayers for Isa and Bram.
Almost ready for the accountant on Wednesday. In between we've had the flu and when there are 5 little ones it makes it harder. Thank goodness the adults were sick at different times. Allowed us to stagger responsibilities whether human or animal. DIL was wondering how many times a little one can vomit as she changed her clothes 5x in about 4 hours with Sam (2 yo). Regardless of the fact he had thrown up 4x when he was at my house! Well onward to better times.
Next Saturday is the kids' school lasagna supper FR. With 3 grands in school there I'm making a table topper or wall hanging for each. Yesterday finished the flimsies for 2 of them and hope to get the third top done today. Then back to the office. So here's what they look like in case I don't get pics of the finished items.

Ditto, I agree with Carrie. How many members started the PC with us??? Many more than the 13 of us finishing , I think, but it was that way with the FWQ too...still waiting for Cripple Creek to call me saying, 'Pick up your FMQ; its done!!' Am still trying to target Tuesday as mailing day for BB and adopted gds...will see what happens...I go pick up the 14 bb tomorrow and chicken feed that is not sold for 'chicken feed cash'...much higher.

Worked on dh's AIL throw today only to fail to find a darning needle in the sewing room to tie it like it was before, so that goes on the list to get tomorrow in town to do tomorrow afternoon. Did manage to save and reuse the top that she loved so much, put a double layer of 80/20 cotton & poly batting in it and almost completed the fleece 9-block to put around her shoulders.

Turning much colder here, but don't think it will hit zero...just almost. Oh, well, we have warm hearts and warm feet...at least inside. It is that time of year here.

    Anael,

It is difficult to know what to say. I am a grandma of a preemie and it is exciting to have them born, but also worrisome at times. I know how strong and supportive you have been and I wish you continued strength and comfort as the days unfold.
Take good care of yourself. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Anael...you've been in my thoughts and prayers all day and that does include the tiny new ones. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself well and healthy. That sounds so trite but stress is so hard on bodies and emotions too.

OKSGlad ... What a nice pair of minis for the fundraiser. I'm with the others, and see the brown binding as being a nice frame on your Bubblegum Mini. Like the spring touch of the other one. Hope all your "brood" gets and stays well now. Good Luck with the accountant this week! And then once both are over, hopefully you can be back here with us more.

Thanks Anael ... will get my card away and ready for tomorrow's printing. Today now for you, so maybe not ready on time?

Here's how I spent my weekend!!!
And guess what? I had forgotten how easily a quilt goes together. I started cutting fabric yesterday afternoon, for this quilt for my "adopted" Great Niece. Anael, she was a preemie too, but not near so tiny!
It's a baby quilt, and currently at about 40"x50".
A question for you Ladies ... Do I do border(s)? or stop here? Except for the white, I am out of fabric and would have to introduce another pink, or perhaps a black?

Hey QE! Is the black your design board? Although it looks nice I think black gives a somber look to the quilt. After all it's for a child! Adding more border and you may get to the point of using more than a width of fabric for the backing (Oh My-my practical nature is setting in) White on the edge of a child's quilt--oh the dirt will show. For binding can you look through your stash for a soft blue to pull the blue out of the bear blocks? Time to call it a night. Later.G
