I thought this was going to turn into another Boobie Thread there for a second.....

My wife and I have been married for 26 years and other than the times when I had to be out of town for work we have always shared the bed. She snores a bit but I just chock it up to one of those things and she says I do it also but only if I am really exhausted. But never once have we slept in different rooms or areas of the house!

Now we do have 4 dogs that share the bed with us, that makes for an interesting nights sleep. Sometimes my daughter will take a couple of them. But we would not change the first thing about the sleeping arrangements.

sleep apnea is a terrible problem and affects your heart and lungs long term. If your partner snores so much u can't sleep - they aren't either. Get them to a doctor. We lost a very good friend when his wife went with friends overnite and he was alone. She wasn't there to make him roll over. He died. Get tested!

I sleep much better with my husband in the bed next to me. He doesn't snore very much, occasionally when he ends up on his back or he has a cold or something. We never sleep apart when we are both home. He served 20 years in the Navy and so if we add it all up, he was gone at least 4 or more years during that time.
I don't sleep well and snore lightly. He did tell me the other night that he was unable to go to sleep because after taking Ambien and falling asleep before him (which never happens) I jerked about every 15 seconds for a couple hours. I've had a sleep test, but didn't sleep much for it. They said I don't have sleep apnea but I wonder!!!

My stepfather was a POW in the Korean war and he has wild dreams too. Once he was flailing around and hit my mom in his sleep and she woke him and asked him what he was doing he said, "I was fighting off a wild hog". Later they told that story at a family reunion, my brother said, "Boy, you sure have a way with women"!

I just found out that snoring is a very serious issue! My 4 year old would complain of her forehead hurting and she became a bit hyper at times and her attention span would also be questionable. After several doctors visits of different doctors my pediatric neurologist told me her tonsils are too large and he wants me to have her go back to an ENT and have a sleep study done. He said if she is snoring loudly every night she is not getting a deep enough sleep and the right oxygen flow which could cause major medical problems! Snoring is apparently not something to take lightly if it is an every night thing and loud as well. He told me once we have her tonsils and adnoids taken out we should see a healthier, happier child for sure!
Please anyone who does snore loudly or knows someone who does have it checked!
Hugs
April

Shortly after my hubby and I got married I woke him up at 3 a.m. with a blow right to his chest, knocked the wind out of him. He was wondering what the heck he did to make me do that to him. I was dreaming that I was getting kidnapped by a gang of midgets and I was fighting them off. He woke me up when he saw I was doing this in my sleep and told me about it. I told him what I was dreaming about and told him to be happy the midgets werent about a foot shorter!

Do You Sleep With Men?
Ummmm....no! :D My wife would be concerned, otherwise. However, we do have a daybed in the basement and I'll sleep down there sometimes if she's snoring and keeping me awake, or sometimes she'll go sleep in her recliner in the living room if they says I'm snoring. But most times, we're sleeping with each other. :D

We were on the deck and overheard a conversation between two couples and one was saying that they haven't been able to sleep the whole cruise because somebody in the next cabin was snoring so loud. The other person asked what cabin they were in, and yup, it was right next to ours. We slinked away and were able to never meet them in hallway coming or going to the room.
Several (15) years ago, hubby and I were sleeping with about 75 other soldiers, on a field exerdise, and his snoring kept them awake. (Horrible sleep apnea) I was perhaps, other than him, the only who got any sleep that night and the others all wondered how I could sleep with his snoring like that every night. I rarely noticed it truth be told b/c he snored when I met him and kept snoring despite several surgeries until 2006 with the last surgery.
