I am looking for a good website with a good calorie counter. Anyone on here know of a good one? Thanks. I am sure I am not the winner for this month.I am afraid of the scale right now because I know it will be bad. I was down 2 pounds, I don't think I am anymore. I will face the bad news on Saturday. I am still down 40 pounds since I started so that is good. If this was an easy journey we would all have bikini bodies wouldn't we. I will get my butt out of bed in the morning and get on the elliptical and get back on the journey. Time for bed.

Pat

I used myfitnesspal for awhile. I just put the food in and it calculated the calories.

nancia, how are you feeling. What day is it. I am having trouble because of the holiday, but you lost two days.

Another month almost gone. I didn't sign up this month, but if I had, I wouldn't be winning. Up and down, up and down, when all I want is down. I know I'm not planning well.

Have a good evening, y'all.

I hope everyone is doing well this month-it's been a crazy month for me. I was in Michigan for the basset waddle for almost a week and my friend Dawn and I whose hound Pawtunia who was Mishigan Basset Rescue waddle Queen 2010 and my hound Xandy Bear who was Queen 2011 had their Woofle in May to raise $$ for the hounds. We were thrilled to raise $2,100 to turn in for pledges in such a small amount of time and came in second this year for pledges. Needless to say my focus has not been on weight loss. Well, it didn't help that I'm having an arthritis flareup and had to curtail my exercise. I am going to PT and it is helping and I'm starting to get back to the gym. I am pulling together a plan to make sure June is a good weight loss month for me. I really can't moan-I had 2 good months in a row prior to May-didn't gain it in a month...

Don't forget to private message me your weightloss, no matter how small, you could still win with a small loss.

Have a good weekend. I will be working on my purple quilt today.

Here is an example of my problem with the teacher I work with. How would you like to receive this as your end of the year thank you note. I had to leave the room and go to the restroom to keep from crying.
Dear Pat,
Thank you for working with me this year. It was certainly a learning experience for both of us. I am hoping as we move forward, you learn to respect what I do even if you don't understand it. We do what is best for the kids first!

No matter what I do I feel like I am treated with disrespect by her. I am always given the worst kid to work with. If there is an assembly and one of them acts up, I am always the one who has to leave with them. Today we had a pizza party and each kid got a small pizza. She couldn't find the list of who got what. When I spoke up and said whose was whose I was rudely told, Pat we got it. Then she turned to the other aide and asked her who got what. This kind of slight goes on all day every day. The teacher and the other aide are best friends (they vacation together etc). THe other aide is as nice as can be.There are 2 part time aides and they see how she treats me too and agree with me. I can't afford to quit as we need the health insurance provided. I am looking for another job in the school district but it doesn't look good as they are making tons of cuts. Thanks for letting me vent again.

meanmom, only a few more days left. Next year may bring a better assignment. We can certainly hope so. It brings back memories of the only teacher I couldn't work with. She was finally moved to an older group - she didn't belong teaching pre K. Venting is fine. Our lives affect our weight loss or gain.

I haven't walked the dogs and I'm semi watching "Duets" on TV. I will have to leave it because my son insists I not be out walking much after 10. Not that I have to listen to him, but he's probably right.

I'm going to an iris farm tomorrow. I hate irisies, but my oldest daughter wants to go replace some lost in her fire. She lost her husband just prior to that so I try not to tell her no too often. 800 different varieties of irises in bloom all at once should be spectacular. She made a road trip after a tree and perennials Monday. I passed because she was leaving at 6:00 A.M.

May is coming to an end. I hope lots of people sign up for June because summer is an easy time to lose weight. If I remind myself of that, it may jumpstart a loss.

Pat, my heart goes out to you. Harrassment comes in all forms and on the job is the worst. I so remember when I was 8+ months pregnant with our daughter, and my boss told someone to "go ask the one that looks like a house". My weight has always been a huge thing for me and I was devastated. He tried to apologize at my house later, but I told my husband "I have to see him at work, but not in my house". I should have reported it, but didn't. He has since died, but I remember and always will remember what he said. And to think I was much thinner then than now. Life....

Forgot to post my weight loss. But since it was only a pound, I'm certainly not the winner.

Pat, I am so sorry that this woman you work with cannot treat you with the respect that you deserve. It's fine if the other aide is a personal friend but in the work place you should be treated as equals. I will be praying for all to go smoothly for your last few days of this school year and that you can work with a different teacher next year. Hang in there. Feel free to vent to us all you want. You can't keep those kinds of feelings inside or they will eat you alive.
Ok, now it's my turn. My daughter is having a garage sale tomorrow. I am helping her as little as possible. Everything is making me crazy right now. Between her and the boyfriend and the bf's cat I'm ready to pull my hair out. They make such a mess in my kitchen. They keep such strange hours. I am counting down the days until they go to Korea. Luckily I will be gone 9 days on my Ireland trip and 2 days on a shop hop. Yea for quilting to help me keep my sanity.

Hi meanmom,
Sorry to hear you are feeling so down. Sounds like the teacher feels that your job is to take the acting out kids away from the others and get them to calm down. Were you ever given a specific job description? Could be that's part of the problem. I know it's hard to do, but try not to take it personally. Hope the last few days go better for you. Remember that for troubled children, change is even harder for them than the other children. Unfortunately, end of the year means change, so they act out. Uncertainty is painful for these little ones. Oh, this brings back so many memories for me some good, some painful. The job you have signed on for is a difficult one. Hope that it will get better for you.
