Nett2, I love your "new" machine, especially the FOOT pedal! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. The foot pedal isn't working for the moment but I'm sure it will when DH gets done with it.

According to a few we are the village idiots and our shop has been mentioned in several topics and it was not nice. Anything related to the NB is copyrighted and belongs to Alan, I do not want to see it in this shop!!

WOW! Well, I'm not a "village idiot", but last summer I was a vintage sewing machine illiterate. From the help of others on this site willing to share their information and knowledge of vintage machines, I have learn so much about Singers as well as other machines and with this better understanding I am now steward of some wonderful machines that would have been sent off to the dump.

As I have said, these machine will outlive us and it is best to start educating the younger generation, and what better way than to be open for all to learn from.

Go with it, don't fight it. You will lose. Ask me how I know.
I have just been collecting since last November and have 5 machines. Billy has been just wonderful about giving them the spa treatment and sending them back happy campers to live with me.

And I love USING my many vintage machines. And they like to be USED, like they were meant to be used. Have fun treadling!

Since people are having trouble logging in to NB, I went and tried. On my first try, it said I had exceeded my alloted number of attempts to log in. Wouldn't let me in... I did notice on the bottom of the index page that it said ONE user was online at the time. It also said the most number of users online at once was 32, on some date in 2008. Wow. Not many members... Wonder why? (chuckle)

Sorry about so many pictures. I quit smoking, had a four year old for 6 days. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
