I saw that listing...if I were closer to Sacto I would get it even if just for display in my sewing room.

She may be, but in the class she did the Shared Stitches Batiks quilt that was lavendar and gold. If she does one like mine, she will have to go to High Sierra to find that blue water wave fabric? I have not seen that fabric at any of the other stores.
Actually, Katrina is doing the same quilt with a blue and yellow back ground. They both took Kristin's class with me last fall!

Could you possibly make a list of steps to follow if we would want to use shellac or tung oil- just a simple set of guidelines for the newbies for future use?
You are so knowledgeable on this topic, and I hate to see your info get lost in our many pages.
Please give it some consideration!

Cindy, thank you very much for asking Glenn to post a list for all of us. I was thinking the same thing about having to go back and re-read a bunch of posts to find the information I need.

Pretty much. Anyone interested in a nice Two-Spool for $150 or a Jones parlor that is beyond description for $300? If I had the room, the Jones would be mine. Contact me for details. (They're not mine so I'm not plugging them, I just know where they are!!)
I would like to have both, but I will wait to find them here in my neck of the woods! It would be cool to have a Jones treadle since my daughter's married name is Jones.

After reading about the 2 spool sewing machines that you gals have I finally did an image search to see what they looked like. I have never seen this kind of sewing machine before. Hmmmm......Interesting! Anyway, I came across this site and found a set-up to have 5 treadle treadle machines over 5 treadle bases under one custom made table! What a great space saver!! Check it out (scroll down the page a little bit):

The drawers are hidden behind swing out doors under machine. I will try and get pictures of it so you can see. I have never seen one like that before. Has the original book to it and all the attachments. The machine pops up when you open it up. There is a chain the draws the machine up..it needed a little tweeking but it works well now but I always help it up so as not to damage the wood.
