I have been thinking outside the box again...so watch out...new idea coming forth. QuiltE has her FFC project going along now, will be working on mine shortly; BBs are in rows, ready to sew rows together. I would like to do a quilt depicting each of our homes...the view a visitor would see walking up to your house (s). Options would be to photo in color and email it to me or snail mail it; a talented member of the family could draw a picture and tell colors of it...give me some idea of height of it (approximately) Then with the top of the quilt North, the rows would migrate South to other homes on the PC trail. Once I get the patterns going and even show it on here, the patterns would be available to you by email, snail mail or other ways...so we become our own little 'village' on our quilts... no I have no idea of the size or color right now, that can be worked out as I go along.

So, the critical item needed to begin is everyone's house...front door and house...with those on the farm, I could include the barn (silos) in a another square next to the house. Email would be the cheapest and easiest way to communicate, I think. What do you think? Would you be willing to participate??

Thank you, Janie, for the batiks. You are a creative person to find a way to detour the border and $$ issue...picture later.

QNS, great idea! I will email you a picture as soon as the weather is nice enough to take a picture! It's raining again and getting dark but I guess you won't need it tonight

No, Anael, thanks for the thought, but not tonight...within the next couple of weeks maybe the sunshine will visit and make it a good day for the picture...just back away from the front door until the complete front is in the picture. if there are plants there, it might help if you ID the plants/and or/trees for me. Email is more economical than snail mail...neighbor to neighbor.

Ok, what came from the Fig Tree in Ft. Collins, Colorado from Janie was five fabric batik pieces: two photo shots of one bundle of batiks...that shows off the fabric, view one or view two...same fabric.

Maybe we all need to take that virtual RV to Midland, Tx, and do the Indian rain dance together for Dublb. Go ahead and do two pictures, Dublb, and I can edit the brown out and simplify the house in Midland. Honchey, you too will have the two houses....NJ and NC...

QNS, that is very creative thinking on your part - a house quilt that shows our homes! It seems that Jan put a photo of her home at Christmas (way back when????). It may be a while before I can get a decent photo, we are in such a mess here.

They will be tearing apart my kitchen in a few days. Thank God we have our motorhome, so we can cook and wash dishes in there! The living room and kitchen/dining room will be totally torn apart and cordoned off from the rest of the house via plastic.

Happy birthday, Bev. Enjoy that Go Baby. No rain? Wow, I was watching the Weather Channel and they were showing how much rain Houston got.

Anael, how fun it must be to bathe Bram & Isa. What encouraging news from you each day now--we were all so worried and still continue to pray for them. Enjoy them--they grow so fast and pretty soon you'll have a 16 year old GD who rolls her eyes at everything and a 20 year old GS who plays video games all day. (Ask me how I know this!)

DD, I love your block--so colorful. Who made it for you is still a mystery LOL.

QNS, I'll gladly send you a pic of my house. I won't send a pic of the back; we had to build a ramp for Patches and it looks like a long bob-sled run. But it works for him and that's all that matters. My neighbors think we're nuts but what are you gonna do? He can't do steps anymore.
