Two Questions
My granddaughter, age 19, brought me the three fabrics that have white daisies on them, see picture. She'd like me to make her a king size quilt with them. There is at least 3 yards of each of a couple has four yards. I need help choosing a pattern. I consider myself a confident beginner so nothing too difficult. My second question is regarding the panel. I have backing fabric laid right side down, batting and the panel but what do I do now??? I know that somehow I need to sew the three together but how?? Do I just sew around the edges and then have it quilted? Do I treat the sides like a quilt and bind it the same way? Thank you so much
I'm sorry I have tried and tried to get the pictures to post but I keep getting an error message.

Bento box might be a relatively easy block to make. You could alternate fabric placement too. If you're going to rent a long arm, then they'll assist you there. If so, the backing needs to be at least 4" bigger than the front on all sides. The batting should be bigger than the top too.
Rail fence is a really easy pattern too! Good luck Shortcake! The actual stitching that holds all 3 layers together is the "quilting!"

It sounds like you have the backing, batting and panel made into a quilt sandwich? You need to use some kind of method to baste the sandwich together to bring it to the sewing machine. There are several methods like pin basting, thread basting or 505 basting spray. You need to quilt it and then put on binding. You can do straight line quilting to hold the sandwich together and space the lines at the distance required on the quilt batt package?
Take a look at the YouTube tutorials done by Jenny Doan for the Missouri Star quilt company. It is easy to follow along and she has many patterns to choose from.

too bad you couldn't get pictures to post those would be very helpful!
I have done panels a couple of different ways.
I have put the fabric right sides together and the batting and used the birthing method - I sewed all of the way around but leave 12" or so open. Then the pull the quilt through the opening turning it right side out. Then I top stitched around the edges and quilt however I wanted. There is probably a YouTube video on this
Or you can just layer the batting between the panel and backing fabric. Quilt and bind like any other quilt
As far as "easy" patterns for your fabric... did you try watching any of the Missouri Star Quilt tutorials? Jenny has lots of ideas. Some more involved than others. She uses precut fabric, but you can easily make the yardage work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPG8...FQ3MYP9q2rNPF1

Not sure what u mean by panel, but when I do a baby quilt and don't want to bind I place batting down 1st then backing right side up on top. Then I place panel wrong side up on backing. (Right side of backing and panel are together.) then I Stich around edge leaving a 4-6 inch opening on one side and turn right side out. Once turned Stich around edge 1/4 inch away, which catches opening. Then do simple quilting.

Meyert, I know I've tried everything but it might be my program that holds my pictures because each time I get an error message. I like your idea and Giguilt's idea about birthing the panel. Great one problem solved. I am going to look at Jenny's tuts and maybe look at the Rail Fence pattern. I have done the rail fence before but used all different coordinating fabrics. These three fabrics are light lavender background with white daisies, black background with white daisies and yellow background with white daises.

There is a size limitation on picture files.
First do this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...g-t166655.html
Then do this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...s-t168819.html
Another option is to change the setting on your camera to use fewer pixels.
