    Thanks for the tip but (unfortunately!) it's not a rare one.

    How interchangable are the machines? The round hinges are on the edge of the opening - would they fit all standard machines of the era or only a 201? I think I have seen other machines in the same style of cabinet. Maybe a 99??

    DH's thrift shop find, the mocha 301 runs like a top but needs a good cleaning. It's the short bed, no accessories but does have the bobbin case, that's worth alot to me. And it is in a really nice wooden cabinet. I have no idea where I'm gonna put this machine. This makes my 22nd machine counting my longarm quilting machine. All are vintage except my longarm and my Brother NX600. I just love them all and DH is so good at cleaning them up and getting them to run smoothly (all except for the 306k, which he should never have touched) hahaha

    By "stand" does he/she mean the treadle cabinet? The cabinet looks like my Davis treadle. Of course, mine is much darker (which I love!).

    You could put it in my sewing room :mrgreen:

    I am looking for either a 15-91 or a 301...wish our thrift shops had little hidden gems...

    How can you tell what's a 15-91? from the others? SN? label somewhere? Gosh, I might have just passed one up in a local thrift store, it was in a banged up travel case... $45.

    Just keep checking Craigslist, everyday, that's where I've gotten lots of good bargains. I just put "sewing machine" into the search box and the list comes up. I also check out the neighboring city's CL's.
