Ah, the black & white pillow was Blackfoot. He was a Mama's boy. Such a spoiled kitty. I miss him. He and his brother Tigger went to a new home when we moved and couldn't have pets. Fond memories and one day we will have kitties again.

I love seeing quilts used as avatars too. Sharon and Deara, I likes your quilts also. Featherweight, I get bored using the same avatar and like to switch around the photos, but I realized that I may confuse some folks doing so (who is that new person). I then decided that if I always keep my 201 in the photo, but just change the quilt that may help solve the problem. My present avatar is one of the squares for a quilt that I'm presently piecing on my 201 treadle. I may stop this project to work on a Christmas project, which will give me an avatar with a Christmas look- just can't make up my mind as to what pattern to piece.

Great idea. I should always use my "Blueberry" Featherweight with something with it...

I like all of the avatars!! The quilt in mine is my sons and was made on my 1921 Red Eye in its treadle. I really liked making that quilt, it was my first scrappy. :D

You can use the 15x1 needle but you need to have a modified bobbin case to run it. And it is not that hard to do either and you do not have to retime anything.

Billy, I wish that you lived closer to me. We could chat about all our machine redos and repairs. I love working on the old Singers. I have many ladies her in Denver that I service their machines. I have restored a couple but it is way to much work for me since I had my hand surgery. I need to have the right hand done also, but that is not going to happen!!!!!

Billy this is so exciting I found some treasures in a secret drawer of my white sewing machine!!! Today I picked up my new treadle and was looking though all the drawers when I found it has 2 secret drawers!! I opened the first one and didn't see anything then I opened the second one and Oh my goodness!! It had 6 negatives from 1900's and an old Social security card from a gentleman and from the same man his withdrawl card from 1918 from an electrical union in Washington state!! The photos are from a logging camp one of them shows 3 men with the very long saws and a downed tree the others are from the camp itself!!! I am so excited to see these there were also 2 obituarys from what we think were friends of the owners one lady was married in 1884 and moved to Tacoma Wa this machine was definatly from my state what an amazing story to tell. I also found 4 old needles not used for my machine!!!! I will send pictures once we get the negatives developed!
